IBM and Ricoh established a business which was once part of the Printing systems Division of IBM. At the beginning, “InfoPrint Solutions, worldwide and 3000 employees, was in need of new Benefits plans, Compensation plans, performance management plans and other HR policies.
As VP of Compensation and benefits we took on each area with a plan to engage all levels of management and employees. We just didn’t borrow what IBM was currently using and we didn’t use off the shelf plans, instead we used ideas from within the company which best fit the new culture and aspirations of the leadership. Gaining acceptance from all these stakeholders was key and provided the foundation for successful implementations, at low cost, yet very effective.
